I was caught up in my own 'stuff'. When we get triggered we can see the world in a distorted perspective. We take action – like a reflex action and this may not always be helpful. In my case, I ended up hurting someone I really didn't want to hurt.
It's an honest mistake - we all make them. But it is a reminder that I need to check where my head's at from time to time!
.... 'Where's your head at? where'syourheadat? wheresyourheadat?' ...
Practising mindfulness can help you to put a buffer in so that instead of reacting, you respond. Seems I still have more practice to do... and much more to learn.
